Alfresco Free Network - Additional Collaborators

My business is trying Alfreso. However we are having an issue with adding collaborators.

I am listed at the manager for the site, and I have sent two invitations to collaborators. The first worked fine, and is listed in the members for the site. The second is not on the list of members with my logon, however, on his logon he is listed as a collaborator. He was able to create folders and add documents to the site.

I got him to leave the site, and sent another invitation, with the same result. We can see in the activity that he has become a member, as a collaborator but we can't see him in the list of members.

Any help would be appreciated.

Can you check if he is member of the underlying group?

Go to the admin console > groups > show system groups > browse
Then find the group site_<name of your site>
In the children you have the 4 groups that corrspond to the 4 roles. Is he in any of them?

When you say you can't see him, is it in the "site collaborator dashlet", or in the "members menu"

Is there anything in the logs?

At this stage I am only accessing the Free Alfresco Network in the Cloud. So I don't have access to the admin console, just double checked that, I can't see any way to access the admin console.

I am able to see the list of members, and he is not listed on the site.

I can not see him listed on the "site collaborator dashlet" or the "site members" page. However I can see that he has joined the group in the "site activities" dashlet.

I am having the same issue and I am on the standard (paying) account.

Although the site manager can see the user joining in the activity log, the user is not shown in the Site Members list as shown under the manager log in, but is shown in the Site Members list of that users log in.

There is nothing in the Cloud Account Settings to help.

I am also looking for a solution as this makes it difficult to collaborate amongst my team.

As an organisation we are currently evaluating Alfresco as a Collaboration platform. I setup a Free Network account on our domain. I have used it for a few days.
Then I invited a colleague to join me to "test" the platform. Their email is using the same domain suffix as mine. It worked great.

Then today I went to add another colleague to test it (same domain suffix on email), and I get the message, "Could not invite user(s) possibly due to one or more email addresses not being accepted." I have tried all manner of ways to invite another user.

If we are to use this/upgrade it needs to work in the testing phase!

Can someone please help me?

I did the post on Thursday - I thought I would go in and see if this had been fixed yet.. So now, the error message says "Could not invite people since they belong to a different domain."

And the weird thing is, both mine and my colleague email addresses end in the same domain!

Makes it really hard to test a collaboration software when you can't collaborate!!

I do have the same issue with my collaborator user on alfresco entreprise 4.0.2 . Some of them don't receive notification even if a files has been added, visible to all and all with the get notification checked in their profiles

Did you find a solution for this issue?
