Alfresco architecture

Hi,
Sorry to ask what may be an obvious question but I am trying to get a not so abstract understanding of what the following terms are and the differences / connections between them:

Nodes
NodeRef
Content
QName
Aspects

What control does accessing each of the above give you ?

Particularly how does alfresco model the difference between actual files, representations of files and references to files along with the concept of Nodes.

My understanding of aspects in alfresco are as additional info you can tag onto a file. If so where is this stored in physical terms.

Thanks,
C

These pages may help you:
http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Alfresco_Repository_Architecture
http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Terminology_Guide

It may well be worth purchasing the Alfresco book available from amazon etc.

Thanks,

Kevin

Thanks but I had already found those links before posting and there isn't really much there that answers what I asked and what might be relevant remains as "TODO".

I do have reservations about buying the Alfresco book. Reviews describe it as a compendium of the WIKI pages hence it might simply contain TODOs also !

Thanks,
C
