Alfresco 3 Mac OS 10.5.6 MySQL - Error Listener Start

Hi,

after a successful installation with the Mac installer (and tweaking as mentioned in other posts)
I've got Alfresco 3.0 to run without a problem.
However that is only if the Derby database is used.
I'm trying to use MySQL 5.1.30 as the database and hitting a wall during start-up of the server.

The database has been created, the database schema is successfully created and updated but Alfresco is not starting.

Did you clear out the alf_data folder during the database swap? If not, you'll have to do this as the blank database will trigger a bootstrap process, hence the duplicate entries. Note that any existing content will be cleared by this process.
