4.2.d Community - nightly build

Hello,

Just to inform you that, after a long wait, a new nightly build of Community 4.2.d with UI improvements and features (details to come) should be available shortly - it's building now and *should* be available tomorrow. In fact, if you are keen to take the latest code you will find the code for this version available in our public SVN repo right now.

Alfresco Engineering would like to let you know that we have been working hard to merge and test a number of disparate code-lines that has taken us quite a while, which is why HEAD (Community) has been mostly stagnant for the last few months. We hope not to have to do this again, it's been hard work! So we hope you enjoy the latest build. Also there will be an official final 4.2.d Community release coming in a month or so, until then enjoy the new features and improvements as we begin pushing code to HEAD again!

Thanks for you patience,

Kevin

Thanks for announcing the release date for 4.2.d Kevin. Curious to test the latest nightly build as its been 1 and half month we had the last build.

Nightly builds are now appearing with some regularity - please let us know of an issues you find on JIRA as usual! Thanks!

I'm sure this a newbie question and I am sure that there is probably a wiki item for this, but I am just not sure where to find it.
I am running 4.2.c on Linux, can someone guide me to the correct steps to upgrade to 4.2.d without trashing the customizations that I already have?

Is the process the same for a Windows installation of ALfresco?

Thanks

Pat

you can refer to Alfresco http://docs.alfresco.com/4.1/index.jsp
in the left tree ,browse to Documentation > Upgrading.

I took at look at the document. I am running the community version 4.2.c. In the upgrade doc the first line is asking amd I using Solr or Lucene,  How do I determine that?
