Fresh installation fails with "02110002 Required people system path not found: sys:system"

Hello,

we've encountered following error when installing fresh Alfresco (=Alfresco Content Services) on a clean server (empty contentstore folder and empty DB). The installation went fine, DB got initialized but then the Alfresco failed to start with mentioned error. Here's an exerpt from catalina.out:

 The main cause seems to be this:

org.alfresco.error.AlfrescoRuntimeException: 02110002 Required people system path not found: sys:system

The Alfresco in question is 7.3.0 Community edition. We've installed this one multiple times (even performed upgrade from 5.2 to 7.3) and haven't encountered such error yet. I have no idea what "sys:system" means. Can someone please clarify this error and maybe point where should I look for cause?

I was able to finally find the cause of this problem. It's a filesystem issue. A filesystem permission issue to be precise. The content folder had following permissions and ownership:

drwxr-x---. 3 alfresco alfresco /var/opt/alfresco/content-services/content

The alfresco-content.service was run as user alfresco but apparently the tomcat was not able to read from the contentstore and thus was not able to resolve "sys:system" node.

Adding o=rx to contentstore permissions fixed the issue:
