Hello Forum,

I've been trying to change the Company Home to Home on the Titlebar and Sidebar but have been unsuccessful.  Here what I have done.  I made the change to the webclient.properties both in the default and extension folder of alfresco.  I then restarted the application, but still it show Company Home instead of Home.  Please advise and be specific on the exact steps.  I have installed Alfresco Labs3 Final on Windows 2003 Srv.

Thanks

Yes u r right…
U have done the right thing..

Just do two more things…
1.Restart the tomcat (or any other which u r using) server.
2.Refresh the code in eclipse (or whatever IDE u r using)

Thanks for the reply, however, this doesn't not applied to my situation.  From by post I'm not using any IDE like Eclipse, just making the changes to the file webclient.properties and restarted my tomcat application server.  If someone actually knows what I'm doing wrong please help with specific steps.

Thanks forum.

To change the "Company Home" in the title bar to say, for example, "Home" you need to change the language file:
- Stop your Alfresco server
- Open tomcat\webapps\alfresco\WEB-INF\classes\alfresco\messages\webclient_en_US.properties
- Find the variable "company_home=Company Home"
- Change after the = so that it reflects the name you want to use and save the file
- Start the Alfresco server

To change what is displayed in the main content area:
- On the "Company Home" page click on More Actions > View Details
- In the properties screen edit and change "Company Home" to whatever you want.

Notes:
- Good practice would be to create your own "language pack", as changes will be lost if the war file is redeployed
- In my installation I have copied all the "US" files from tomcat\webapps\alfresco\WEB-INF\classes\alfresco\messages to tomcat\shared\classes\alfresco\messages and renamed them to *_en_NZ.properties (NZ = New Zealand)
- I have then made the changes I require to the words used for the web client
- You also have to add the "language" to the tomcat\shared\classes\alfresco\extension\web-client-config-custom.xml as per:
http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Language_Pack_Installation

Hope this points you in the right direction.

Thank you.

I was able to change the Company Home to Home using your steps.  However,  the titlebar where you see at the very top (i.e. Company Home My Home Guest Home My Alfresco) and the Navigator label did not change.  Am I missing some other configuration files?

Thanks
