Start up - virtual_start.bat alf_start.bat

Installed Community 3.4a win 32 via BitTorrent.  Everything appears to be installed. When selecting Start Virtual Server, I get "you have chosen to open "share" which is an : application/octet-stream".  Similarly with Console "alf_start.bat".

Port is set to 8080, running Vista.  "http://127.0.01:8080/share" in FireFox gives a blank screen.  http:/127.0.0.1:8080/alfresco" reads "connection was reset".

Any suggestions?

Don't worry about the virtual server for now.

What happens when you run "alf_start"    Does alfresco start up?    That's the first thing to get working.
