QName and Category

I use Alfresco 2.1 and I have a problem with extracting Category. I have saved them with a name and then changed. Now QName mantain old name. Is it right? It's possible change it without SQL UPDATE on db, but throw webscript?

What properties is QName of the node? Is it accesible throw webscript?

However I don't understand why QName isn't a transient attribute elaborated each time. I think can be considered a violation of CRUD operation in the most difficult one, the UPDATE.
