Hi,

I'm facing a strange problem (Alf 2.1 community on OpenSuse 10.2) - from the great help of some forum-ers, I managed to get NTLM working, but it doesn't work with IE(6 & 7). The error is "Failed to open passthru auth session" - as below …

15:57:48,572 ERROR [org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.[Catalina].[localhost].[/alfresco].[Faces Servlet]] Servlet.service() for servlet Faces Servlet threw exception

I don't mind not having passthru, and the user is prompted for the Active Directory username and password, but now it is completely not working with IE, which is unacceptable.

Hope you can help!

Thanks!

Have you enabled logging for the NTLM authentication in log4j?

Edit the log4j properties file under alfresco/tomcat/webapps/alfresco/WEB_INF/classes/log4j.properties
