Links in browas and desktop actions not working

I've been experimenting with desktop actions and when I drag or drop somthing on __CheckInOut.exe  or __ShowDetails.exe i get a dialog box that states "Not a valid Alfresco CIFS folder"

In the web client the view in CIFS link in view details and the Open in Network Folder show file://///myserver_A/path

I figure there is a problem in getting the server name, but don't know where to start to figure out where these names are defined.

(I have this problem in both firefox 2.0 and IE6, except Open in Network Folder works with the firefox 0.91 plugin)

thanks for any help / comments

tony

I'm seeing the same thing too.
Dropping files into the CIFS folder got them into the repository.
But I can't get the Details and CheckInOut to work.

Thanks

I had the same message and adding rights for the user in this directory solved it.

I have the same problem but only on spaces mapped as a network drive. If i try to do it on the same space (subspace of a mapped one) it works.
I mean, i have space "Venus" (subspace of "Planets") mapped on N:, and "Planets" mapped on M:. I can do checkinout on M:\Venus, but no on N:\

I can't figure out how to solve with user rights in the N:\ drive

thanks
