Kerberos CIFS not being presented

I've configured Alfresco 2.1/Tomcat as indicated in the wiki. I can login using my kerberos principal just fine into the web interface and webDAV. I can't however get cifs to work. I do have it so that it does start up and not throw execptions. However this is what I see in my logs:

    16:39:58,461 DEBUG [alfresco.smb.protocol] TCP-SMB session request received from 134.129.71.65
    16:39:58,461 DEBUG [alfresco.smb.protocol] Waiting for TCP-SMB session request …
16:39:58,461 DEBUG [alfresco.smb.protocol] Server session started
16:39:58,473 DEBUG [alfresco.smb.protocol] Negotiated SMB dialect - NT LM 0.12
    16:39:58,473 DEBUG [alfresco.smb.protocol] Assigned protocol handler - org.alfresco.filesys.smb.server.NTProtocolHandler
    16:40:02,777 DEBUG [smb.protocol.auth] NT Session setup SPNEGO, MID=2, UID=0, PID=6992
16:40:02,778 DEBUG [smb.protocol.auth] User  logged on  (type Normal)
    16:40:02,778 DEBUG [smb.protocol.auth] NT Session setup SPNEGO, MID=3, UID=0, PID=6992
16:40:02,779 WARN  [smb.protocol.auth] Authentication component does not support MD4 password hashes
What am I missing to have it not present NT LM 0.12 and instead present Kerberos?

Hi

What is your CIFS client?
It looks like it is trying to do NTLM  and not Kerberos?
