I don't think it is but don't take my word for it.
I know there is a way to create a shortcut in alfresco, but if i remember, the shortcut function is more like a copy, or maybe it was a shortcut to that specific version. Or updates didn't work as one would expect? Though, its been several versions since i looked at it.
maybe you could create a folder level shortcut?
in any case if you use a short cut properly vet it to make sure it isnt bugging out.
the other big issue with this could be permissions. Share and Alfresco use different permission types, as a result this could confuse users resulting in a.) not providing enough access b.) creating a databreach situation where someone "thought" they removed someones access but still had access from one side or the other. or c.) alfresco or share could choke on it
If i were you i would create a "Marketing" site, move the contents of the Marketing folder in company home to companyhome–>sites–>marketing–>documentLibrary (or something similar) which should be where back end of the site is. then tell the users to get use to it.
maybe a synchronization script would work? though there would still be two copies and it would be easy to get an infinite regress issue. As well, the permission issues could exist too
