Hi everybody!

I installed the add-in Word 2003 without any problem but When I open Word 2003 It can't show alfresco's button. Please, will someone give me some  suggestion?..

In addition, I have installed the add-in Excel 2003 and  I want to know which is the information that I have to put in the Zone configuration where said CIFS server..

I hope you will help me.

Yours faithfully

Vicky

If the Excel add-in installed correctly, then it's likely Word was already running when you installed the Word add-in. This is possible if you use Outlook and haven't changed the email editor from its default. Try quitting Outlook and checking Task Manager for any stray winword.exe processes - and kill them if necessary.

The other thing to check is whether the Alfresco toolbar was created at all. Right-click on the toolbar area and see if there's an Alfresco toolbar in the list. You may need to tick the checkbox to make it visible.

CIFS Server is the normal way you access Alfresco over CIFS. This might be a network share, e.g. \\ServerA\Alfresco or a mapped drive like Z:\

Speak to whoever installed your Alfresco server for the correct entry.

Thanks,
Mike

I don't know why, but this seems to happen fairly frequently and (if
it's the same problem we have) the solution, although simple, is obscure.

Open the 'About Microsoft Word' box from the 'Help' menu in Word.

    Now select 'Disabled Items'

You should find the Alfresco add-in in the list of items which you can Enable
Presumably the add-in is doing something (I've no idea what) which
annoys word or perhaps the AV, and so is being disabled.
