Hi,

I found some "bugs" in the last language pack. Unfortunately I have not managed to find where are the strings involved, so I'm just able to give you where there are in Alfresco. I hope it wil help you.

Créer Règle
Step 2 : Sélection des conditions : Some problems with buttons label and accents.

Workflow : processus d'approbation
after options  Déplacer Copier, "to" is not translated

The first one was a bug, fixed in 1.2 (http://www.alfresco.org/jira/browse/AWC-394).
the second one is also a bug : http://www.alfresco.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=3870.

Thanks for the report,

Laurent.

Hi all,

Language pack for v1.2 is build.
I haven't changed patch-service_fr_FR.properties, because i think it is useless to translate it.

I've translated "Consumer" to "Invite" (with an accent), because i haven't find any more interesting translation. Translating it to "Consommateur" sounds weird.

You can find the properties files as usual on the web site. No xliff files are included yet. I've send the updated files to Alfresco.

Thanks a lot !
Merci beaucoup pour cette traduction !

To complete the French pack, it would be great to adapt the search engine Lucene for French.
Currently, it's only for English language. For example, if you search for "article" no result will be fetch for a document containing "l'article".
I am investigating on that, and found some French analyser for lucene, but I try to figure out how to integrate it to alfresco.

Some advices or help on this task will be welcome !

Hi,

I saw your post on this topic, but i'm far from being able to help you. I really don't know how lucene works.

I hope someone else should help you.

Anyway, this is a great news !

To integrate the french analysers for Lucene, you need to copy the file dataTypeAnalyzers.properties (found in config/alfresco/model) to dataTypeAnalyzers_fr_FR.properties and replace the english analyzer class names referred to in that file with the equivalent french analyzer class names.

We have 2 solutions :
- compile a french analyzer, and imports it in alfresco libs
- use lucene-1.9 which has been made available a few days ago and which includes a french analyzer (with also russian, greek, brazilian, dutch, czech, chinese, japanese and korean ones)

I really don't know how hard it is to upgrade lucene from 1.4.3 to 1.9 in Alfresco.

In your opinions, what is the best solution to choose ?

Laurent.
