Disable full text indexing selectively (mimetype / filesize)?

Hello

I am working on Alfresco Enterprise 4.1.5

Is there a way to disable full text indexing selectively based on mimetype or if file increases a certain size, do not index the content.

I already have cm:indexControl aspect applied and I am using it to diasble index content type for few custom content types

Hello,

there are already implicit limits based on file sizes for contents that need to be converted to plain text for indexation - transformations required for this type of conversion can have size limits configured to (effectively) prevent indexation above a certain size. But this may also affect conversions required for previews.
Why not simply configure a content rule that automatically applies the index control aspect when the document grows beyond a certain size and removes it when it "shrinks".
