Create empty Word Documents inside Share

I'm looking into "Create content" functionality inside Shares "Document Library" page and I'm wondering if it is possible to create new node of custom content type with Office document as content.

What I've seen on forum is that it is possible to create new instances of custom content type which have XML or TXT as content but haven't seen option with Word Document. I enabled creation of Google Document's and it works so I'm not sure if that could be reused.

Is there any way other than tell users to create Google Document and then change it's content type to custom one they need?

You can do this from version for by adding template files.
http://docs.alfresco.com/4.0/topic/com.alfresco.enterprise.doc/tasks/library-create-content.html

The files go into Data Dictionary/Node Templates. Just upload (or copy from within Alfresco) any files there that you want to be available as templates. The document type should follow along when the user creates new content based on that template node.

Thank you, I'll look into that functionality.

I forgot to mention that currently we are using Alfresco Community 3.4d version and it does not support adding template files.
