Connect to a remote virtual machine

I have a question about the configuration of Alfresco.

I want to change the directory of the File System in the file Repository.properties to point to a remote virtual machine.

How can I do?

dir.root = xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/C$/alf_data ???

Use your OS to mount the remote filesystem.

Here is some info for doing it on windows since you talk about a "C drive".

Then change your repository.properties (3.1 and below) or alfresco-global.properties(3.2 and above) to use your mounted drive.

I tried to copy & paste my repository on a remote server and change my alfresco-global.properties to use my mounted drive, but I have some problems.

The alfresco.log shows these errors but I can't find a solution..
