cluster two nodes on same machine - IP in alf_server

Hi to all,

i'm trying to configure a cluster with alfresco 3.1 enterprise edition with two nodes on the same machine.

I was not able to configure use of jgroups, but everything seems to go ok with old ehcache, except for index synchronization.

I get an error on one of the two nodes when job that synchronize index do his work, probably depending on this:

I know index synchronization is regulated by mechanism that you can find here:

http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Cluster_Configuration_V2.1.3_and_Later#Index_synchronization

the problem is that, with two nodes on the same machine, I have only one entry in the alf_server table like this:

ID VERSION IP_ADDRESS
6  0             127.0.0.2

I'm using tomcat 6 with jvm sun 1.6.

Can anyone tell me how each node exstablish his registration in alf_server table?

Is there a way to configure differents IP for each node on same machine?

I have no problems of session replication, because of i'm thinking to use stickyness with no fail over.

Furthermore, is there anyone working with jgroups in alfreco 3.1?

I've tryied follow j.potts article, but i've no signal about jgroups working eaven with logs level put on DEBUG.

Any help appreciated.

Thank you

Yes you can and probably should configure multiple IP addresses for your machine.

I suggest you contact Alfresco support for help with Alfresco Enterprise.

Dear mrogers,

i'd like very much to have a valid support for enterprise edition for which we have taken a valid license.

but i have submitted them, more than one time, very simplier questions and it results in a completely useless waste of time, at the best obtaining they have opened a bug in Jira after a lot of time, when I have already signaled the bug and explained with details how to reproduce it.

so that i'd like very much if some expert like you could give us some help.

Thank you anyway for your rapid response
