Brand New 3.2 Windows Install - Can't Log In.

This computer has never had Alfresco installed before, so there's no residual stuff laying around.  I downloaded the new 3.2 Windows installer, ran it, and started the server.  I can't log in as admin/admin.  My Alfreso.log shows the following.  Any help?  And why didn't this work right out of the box?

You need to either install the JAXB library jaxb-api.jar or use a more recent JVM.

Looks like your database is out of sync with your filesystem. This normally occurs after a configuration mismatch or starting the server from different directories when you have a relative dir.root path.

To fix this:
1) Stop your server
2) Edit tomcat\shared\classes\alfresco-global.properties and set:
dir.root=C:/Alfresco/alf_data    (Note this uses forward / )
index.recovery.mode=AUTO
3) Delete the indexes directory: C:\Alfresco\alf_data\lucene-indexes
4) Start your server‍‍‍‍‍‍‍

Please also remember to post different issues/questions to a new tread, this is different issue to the one originally posted with a different solution.

You need to either install the JAXB library jaxb-api.jar or use a more recent JVM.

I had JDK 1.6.0_01 installed on this machine prior to the Alfresco installation.

Alfresco installs the JAXB library per your statement above and it exists on my drive in the c:\alfresco\tomcat\webapps\alfresco\WEB-INF\lib folder.  However, the startup batch file doesn't seem to force its use.  Where and how should that be changed to force Alfresco to use the software it installed?

thank you the dir.root is allready definded as:

dir.root=C:/Alfresco/alf_data

and I uncommented:

index.recovery.mode=Auto

but it didn't helped, I uninstalled the whole thing and now I have new problems, for which I'll open a new topic:
