Hi,

I have installed Alfresco Labs 3 and followed all the instructions found here: http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Installing_Labs_3 but when I try to login to the share using "admin" as the username and passworld like it says here: http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Installing_Labs_3#Starting_the_web_client then I just get this error:

Failed to Login
The remote server may be unavailable or your authentication details have not been recognised.

Anyone know the right username/password combo or what the problem could be?

Can you log in to the old alfresco client at http://localhost:8080/alfresco/ ?

I'm getting the exact same problem.
There's no application under the alfresco context anymore.

Can you start the Alfresco server as per http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Installing_Labs_3#Running_Alfresco_Labs_3.

1. Start Alfresco server
All Programs > Alfresco > Start Alfresco Server.

2. Start the web client
All Programs > Alfresco Enterprise > Alfresco Share.

No all I get when I try to open that page is a 404.

The only way I can get the server to start is by using c:/alfresco/tomcat/bin/startup.bat and I get some errors when it tries to deploy alfresco.war

Here's the log:

I have the same problem from time to time. It seems to occur after restarting the server and I got rid of the problem after logging in to the old alfresco-client and creating a new user. After this I could log on to Share using any user.

I did not experiencing this problem the first time downloaded Share, but after upgrading and restarting the server. Frustrating not to know what causes the authentication failure though. Nothing was printed out in the log.

I am afraid that I have no experience with Alfresco. This is my first time with this product. Smiley Wink

I have just installed Alfresco Labs 3 in a new system (no previous versions). How could I login in the old alfresco-client? There is no 'http://localhost:8080/alfresco/' page.

Thanks in advance.

Had the same problem, but it was solved after I downloaded alfresco.war file (packaged for Linux) and replaced the one shipped with installer.
