Map jsf fields to document fields

I have a document in which one of its fields is a list of a complex structure. The complex structure has 5 fields. In the edition tab I have mapped that list field to a template (a custom jsf template that I have created). How can I map/assign the fields in the jsf template to the document fields so that when I click on the "save" button the document saves all values?
