topic Nuxeo no more CMIS compatible ! in Nuxeo Forum

CMIS is a common protocol and the preferred way of interfacing Nuxeo with legacy systems.
Without much notice, Nuxeo decided suddenly to get rid of the SOAP binding, more precisely :

in 9.3 : https://jira.nuxeo.com/browse/NXP-22799
This does NOT cover the CMIS SOAP endpoints, which are standardized and mostly free to maintain.

in 10.3 : https://jira.nuxeo.com/browse/NXP-24130
In addition, the CMIS SOAP bindings are effectively deprecated by the spec maintainers because they are not performant. They will be removed as well.

It is not that clear to me that CMIS 1.1 deprecated anything about SOAP.
Moreover, CMIS SOAP was not deprecated in LTS 2017 and simply disappeared in LTS 2019.

How can we rely on an ECM not compatible with CMIS ?
