Hi:

Are you using Alfresco Community or Alfresco Enterprise ? MS-SQL Server is only supported in EE edition.

In fact, even you are using Alfresco Content Services 5.2 (EE edition), you should check this link, where the supported MS-SQL Server version is MS SQL Server 2014

Thanks for sending this. I got the mssql 2012 connected Alfresco Community edition 5.2 and I can see its connection in SQL profiler.

But your saying the fact its Community Edition and Sql 2012 is causing this error.
Caused by: org.apache.ibatis.builder.BuilderException: Failed to get resource: alfresco/ibatis/#resource.dialect#/activities-insert-SqlMap.xml
at org.alfresco.ibatis.HierarchicalXMLConfigBuilder.mapperElement(HierarchicalXMLConfigBuilder.java:363)
at org.alfresco.ibatis.HierarchicalXMLConfigBuilder.parseConfiguration(HierarchicalXMLConfigBuilder.java:133)

Would it help if i upgraded to sql 2014 because i would like to use mssql if possible.

Hi Ian:

In principle, Alfresco Community does not work with MS-SQLServer, only with PostgreSQL and Mysql (MS-SQLServer is only supported in Enterprise Edition). I think that, from some time ago, SQL scripts for MS-SQLServer are not included for table creation in Alfresco first startup. You may hack it with the corresponding scripts of an Enterprise version, and comparing them with the existing ones for Postgresql or Mysql too, but I don't know if it worths.
