Categorizing sites

I've got a problem where I need to be able to display the My Sites dashlet / Site search with categories, or some form of grouping. The reason for this is that my sites belong to different products divisions and I need to provide a hierarchy view to users.Is there a way can I tag/categorize or group

By default Alfresco does not have any tooling to categorize / tag sites and use this to differentiate sites. But Sites are regular nodes just like any other folder or document, and can thus can have any kind of metadata assigned that you would use to classify a document or folder, e.g. simple tags and categories to classify them. You'd only need to develop the relevant UI yourself...

Excellent, now I know how to categorize a site. Do you have some tutorial which can help me to develop this UI?

Is there a way to customize the Site search form or the only way is develop a new form?
