There is no such functionality out-of-the-box as it can be arbitrarily complex to edit metadata of multiple items with diverging aspects / types. But such a feature could be implemented in a reasonable amount of time (a customer of mine did that ~2 years ago).

Hi,Is there any option "out of the box" in Alfresco Community to tag multiple files at one? When I say tags, I say tags, types, aspects...I think, this is an essential option in whatever document managerThanks

As a workaround you could define a rule on a folder that tags all incoming documents and move your documents to this folder. But as Axel said, unfortunately there is no "mark the docs and tag'em" option in the GUI (until now).
