Uploading a doc file in Alfresco using rest API

Hello I am new in Alfresco and my company will be using Alfresco server for keeping doc files.I need to implement automatic upload on doc files in alfresco server through rest API and I spent a day so far and still can not find which is the proper rest API for that.Could you please help?

If you are using Alfresco 5.2 then you should definitely look at the v1 ReST API. Otherwise CMIS 1.1 with its Browser binding (JSON) might be the most appropriate and is supported from Alfresco 4.2 onwards.

Seconding what Axel said, especially the bit about the v1 REST API. That will be your easiest path. If you want to dig in a bit, you can check out the API explorer to see the API semantics.
