Hi,

I recall a problem when Solr is installed on Windows as a Service. That call should be a sort of auto-health check that Solr does against itself. How have you installed it as a Service?

I also remember that a workaround was to use certificates, instead of secret... or using Linux-based server

Maybe also try the -f parameter when starting Solr.cmd

Also can you check if solr search service 2.0.16 supported with alfresco-25.x ? I heard it only supports elastic search, if I am not wrong.

I think it is not a problem between alfresco and alfresco search services. But I´ll look for compatibility list as you said and check it out.

I can confirm that Alfresco 25.x supports Search Services 2.x.

I made an update:

In security.json i replaced the content with empty brackets ({}) and the HTTP 403 status dissapeared. Since then, auto-health check has been returning HTTP 200 status. In my opinion, this is not proper solution. However, SOLR was still restarting.

After I have reacreated windows service as described in article, SOLR started working propertly.
