topic Anyone upgraded alfresco 7.3 to 23.x via ansible? Please connect need help in Alfresco Forum

Hi Team,

I can understand that upgrade process require new instance to validate vanilla copy with customization and then adding db and content store, but using ansible I am confused how upgrade goes step by step? because ansible store alfresco structure in different folders and thus confused where it upgrades actually?

Any blog/video or link related to this really appreciated. I still didn't get alfresco links/documentations for setting alfresco 23.x via ansible, by the way as a product it should mention step by step. But unfortunately didn't.

You can use Ansible playbook to upgrade an Ansible installation. If you have installed ACS manually it's not possible, see this docs. The main reason is due to installation folders: as you found, our playbooks follows a particular folder structure (docs).

Hope this helps.

If you currently have Alfresco Community installed using the distribution-zip method, you might consider using the community binary installer to perform the installation.

https://github.com/cparedesr/alfresco-community-binary-installer/raw/refs/heads/main/23.4.0/alfresco-content-services-installer-community-edition-23.4.0-A2-linux-x64.bin

Hope this helps.
