ACS 23.1 Transformer Service convert date from European format to US format

Hello,

We noticed that the Alfresco Transform Services convert date cells from Excel documents to the US date format (DD/MM/YYYY to MM/DD/YYYY), the resultant PDF shown in Alfresco Share is then confusing for the users who expect the same format as the original document.

We are using ACS 7.1 and ACS 23.1 on Kubernetes with transform services enabled (libreoffice, tika, ...), problem is the same on both platforms.

Is it a known problem and is there anyway to tell the libreoffice container who to handle date ?

Default locale for Alfresco Transform Docker Images is C.UTF-8

You may try changing it to en_US.UTF-8

Thank you very much for your hint!

We are using the Docker image alfresco/alfresco-libreoffice:5.0.1. I added the following lines in the Dockerfile :

USER root
RUN dnf install -y glibc-langpack-fr
ENV LC_ALL fr_CH.UTF-8 
ENV LANG fr_CH.UTF-8
USER libreoffice

Now, the LibreOffice pod correctly convert dates in the French (Switzerland) format for Office documents !
