Hello team

we have planning to upgrade one of our dev server which is currently running acs 5.2.e to 6.2 ga version docker based deployment.

Gone through this forum and found some help like, i need to first upgrade the search services from solr4 to solr6 (solr4 to ass 1.3) and then upgrade the acs.

my understanding is that, we need upgrade to search services 1.3 in place before moving to docker based deployment ?

how do we go about database? When upgrading to acs 6.2, is it recommended to use db which is an individual server currently and connect it from acs docker container or use docker container for db too?
if we go to docker container for db, what is the best way to import the backups?

Same question i have for solr too, how do we copy index backups? Or don't copy index backups at all and let it rebuild the indexes from scratch?

any guidance will be helpful

Hope this helps:

https://www.keensoft.es/en/upgrading-from-alfresco-5-to-alfresco-6-our-way/

You need to re-create SOLR indexes from scratch, but you must use a DB Dump and your "alf_data" folder.
