ActiveMQ is required for transformations (for instance PDF or Thumbnail preview) from ACS 7

If you are not using that service, you can deploy it without ActiveMQ.

You mean converting documents between formats and thumbnail of documents will be not working?

And versioning and other document editing will be fine, just as search service?

Thanks for answer

Ah, you're right: content transformation to text is required for Search Service.

I guess that won't be also working, but it's worth to test it!
