webpreview and transformation

Hi guys, I have a question about webpreview.

Is it possible to transform documents pdf, xls, doc, ppt, csv..etc to pdf or html as webpreview?
Is it possible to make the configuration, would it be possible to run the transformation of the rules using REST API renditions-pdf?
Or do I have to use the REST API endpoint / nodes/{nodeId}/renditions renditionId -pdf?

By default documents are previewed in PDF from Alfresco 5. Flash (SWF) is not used anymore.

Whay Alfresco version are you using?

Thanks for your help. It works perfectly on ALF7. The preview is created automatically after insertion. Is there another way to create the PDFpreview after insertion in the ALF6 than the REST API, pls? Via configuration file as in ALF7.
