Install or connect to desktop application using alfresco

I have a desktop application i wanted to connect that application to alfresco. So is it possible to install that application on alfresco.

Or is it possible to connect alfresco with that desktop application.

My aim is before uploading documents to alfresco i want to process my document through that desktop application.

What possible ways are available.

Any kind of help will be appreciated

Its a internally developed application that do quality check of documents before getting uploaded.

Ok, that information was not helping at all

So, assuming you can do any integration ( ), Alfresco provide us different APIs to integrate with it. Here con can see an overwiew: https://docs.alfresco.com/6.2/concepts/dev-api-overview.html

For example: if your app is in Java, you can use API REST to load data check this documentation.

But depend on your requirements you may need something else, for example: if you will need to integrate with others ECM you should select CMIS That's depends on your needs
