Migrate from 4.2 to 5.2 issues

Hello everyone!

I finally managed to upgrade from 4.2 to 5.2 Alfresco Community, and now I see all the sites working.

However, seems like something is different, and one of function does not work properly.

We are using Alvex on Alfresco 4.2, but I'm not sure if it is Alvex feature or not.

It is called "document registry" and it is accessed through the site dashboard.

The typical path in 4.2 is "/share/page/site/letters/documentsregister?register=38aa026e-d95f-42ff-be69-a7b1881ff314"

But now in 5.2 it is called "datalists" and the data is not loaded to the lists, they are empty and it is not possible to update them.

Maybe someone can help me, how to migrate from documentsregister to datalists (in 4.2 -> 5.2 transition)

Based on your inputs, "document registry" is not an ootb function/feature. It would be from the extension you are using i suppose.

Datalist is a separate functionality which is by default added to site dashboard. You can find more info here: https://docs.alfresco.com/content-services/5.2/develop/repo-ext-points/data-lists/

Also the extension you are using https://github.com/ITDSystems/alvex , was updated years ago and there is no mention of supported version so i am not sure if the function/feature you are looking for is even working in 5.2 or may be broken.

Try looking into customize dashboard option and see if you can find the document registry option you are looking for.
