You need to configure your Docker to run linux containers:

Hi all,

I'm at the end of my apprenticeship year for the IT job and I have to do some practical work on an Alfresco Community Edition installation with different configurations and I'm a bit lost because I've never used this solution before.

I have to install this solution on a Windows Server 2016 or 2019, but having tried the 201911 GA (6.2) version (with Docker) I notice that the .yml file for the container is made for Linux...

-Do I have to do a Linux VM on the Windows Server or can I use the .exe installer of version 201707 GA (5.2) (normally for Windows) ?

-What version of Windows Server is recommended? Is the 2019 compatible?

Thank you in advance to help me to get started, knowing that I have to configure an SSO with an AD and other things...

Best regards.

Warsim

Have you watched video on how to deploy. You will need to download and install Docker first.

Hello,

Thanks for the answer, yes I watched the video. I see that it installs Docker and deploys Alfresco with it, the problem is that I tried under Windows Server, already the version "2" written in the .yml file is too old I had to replace it with "2.1". Then I get an error that the container is made for Linux and not for Windows... I haven't found a solution to continue further for the moment, Docker and Alfresco are new for me. A solution to change the container or another file? I followed the procedure indicated on your page and on the Docker page for installation.

Thank you

Hello,

I followed the procedure but pull an Ubuntu image does not work, I specify that I'm on Windows Server 2016, that I installed Docker for Windows Server https://docs.docker.com/ee/docker-ee/windows/docker-ee/ , that I installed Docker-Compose for Windows Server https://docs.docker.com/compose/install/ but when I try to configure for linux containers, I get to this:

Can you still help me ? Do I have to go to Docker Desktop?

Thanks
