Maybe it is related to Alfresco zones. Ldap users belong to a specific and different zone that those that are created from share. I've never tried it, but maybe you can trick Alfresco if you change ldap users to AUTH.ALF zone. I think it could be done using javascript console.

I recently removed the LDAP-AD authentication from my Alfresco server, by querying users I could see that all my users are in the database, but I can't register a password or activate the account for use.

I tried to change the password or activate the account via webscript but I get a message that the user does not exist. Very strange that.

Alfresco Community Version 5.2

Is there anything I can do to activate these accounts?

Thanks
