Rules not working after upgrade

For several versions I've had a rule set up to send an email when a new post is made in a discussion as shown below.

Since I upgraded to version 5.2 this has stopped working.

I believe what is happening is that the rule is still triggered when the node is of type {http://www.alfresco.org/model/forum/1.0}topic but not if the node is of type {http://www.alfresco.org/model/forum/1.0}post

This means that it's only possible to send a message when a new topic is created but not when there's a reply.

Any help, or advise in debugging, gratefully received.

Does the rule run manually?

Also - how are the "new files" being created? Are they moved from another location or created new in this folder?

I'm not sure what you mean by run manually.

The referenced script works in the javascript console (set document using noderef, discovered using node browser)

This has worked since version 4

The "new files" are posts, new topics and replies, in a site discussion forum.

A new topic should run the script for the fm:topic and fmost items, and with a reply on fmost item.

As far as I can tell the script is only called for the fm:topic item

I meant select the folder where the files are added and Run Rules - see if they still run. Wondering if for some reason they are not triggering.
