Alfresco Community Edition with Elastic-search?

I have started working on Alfresco community edition some months back. I have integrated Alfresco with Java-based web application using CMIS client. There is no support for ElasticSearch in Alfresco.

Some people from the Community contributed some integrations based in Apache Manifold, like

This is helpful. I will follow the suggested direction as we need to write an integration project then.

Is there any reason why ElasticSearch is not used in Alfresco content services but used in Process Services?

Is it due to architectural differences between SOLR6 and ELASTIC SEARCH?
