is there any guide or manual or even a way to install alfresco on two tiers one for the webserver and the other for the Database server?

What version are you planning to deploy and will you be using containers?

Yes, you can install Alfresco on one server and the database on another server. No special instruction or installation is needed. The DB connection string is specified in alfresco-global.properties.

So, just install Alfresco, install your database, then point Alfresco at your database.

This is the preferred way to run, by the way. You really do not want Alfresco and the database to be on the same server.
