How to connect alfresco database?

Hi, How to connect alfresco database? and Where the user details are stored in alfresco database? How we can view all the user details from the database? If possible to add any new field in alfresco tables? Please advice.Thanks,Sumathi Baskaran.

Where the user details are stored in alfresco database?

- Alfresco has its own mechanism to store user information. Everything in Alfresco is treated like node, be it file, folder or user. when you create a user it makes entry in multiple tables, some of then are alf_authority, alf_node, alf_node_properties etc.

How we can view all the user details from the database?

- Best way to see list of user is from alfresco share UI. however, you can check 'alf_authority' table to see list of user and group names.

If possible to add any new field in alfresco tables?

- It is not advisable to make change in Alfresco database directly. Alfresco provides set of APIs which will help you to achieve your requirement.
