I've noticed that Alfresco 5.2 came with a new REST AP, and that there is a Java Client, which the doc says it is on Early Access.

So, the things is that I want to start a new Java application that consumes Alfresco. Time before, I used Open CMIS, but now I want to consider using this new Java Client (https://community.alfresco.com/community/ecm/blog/2016/11/17/alfresco-java-client-sdk ).

Is this project, the Java Client, stable enough for Nodes, Search and Sites mainly? Have you used it for real scenarios?

The project was a personal initiative from an Alfresco employee that left the company 6 months ago. I guess that this project is not going to be evolved in the future.

Thanks Ángel. So, would you consider more appropriate to consume the Alfresco REST API directly from a Java application, without using that binding? Or are there more desirable alternatives?
