Couldn't login after LDAP Integration.

Hi,

I guess you have mixed configurations for ldap & ldap-ad.
If you are using ldap-ad, configuration files should be ldap-ad-authentication-context.xml & ldap-ad-authentication.properties file.

Authentication chain like:
authentication.chain=alfinst:alfrescoNtlm,ldap-ad1:ldap-ad

Where
ldap-ad1 is folder created under Authentication and above files placed under it..

Also do not make changes in Out-of-the-box file. Use extension mechanism instead.

Hi,

it's clearly showing that unable to connect to LDAP server

ERROR [org.alfresco.repo.security.authentication.ldap.LDAPInitialDirContextFactoryImpl] [localhost-startStop-1] Unable to connect to LDAP Server; check LDAP configuration
javax.naming.CommunicationException: domaincontroller.company.com:389 [Root exception is java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect]

Check your LDAP properties file once.

If your using ldap then you need add following properties in your alfresco-global.properties file:

### Use Alfresco authentication for admin accounts and LDAP for users ###
authentication.chain=ldap1:ldap
synchronization.allowDeletions=true
## When TESTING, set synchronizeChangesOnly to false
## - this will give FULL synchronization for scheduled synchs
synchronization.synchronizeChangesOnly=false
## Set up regular synchronization with the LDAP server ##
synchronization.syncWhenMissingPeopleLogIn=true
synchronization.syncOnStartup=true
# When TESTING, synchronise every 5 minutes
# secs min hour dom mon dow
synchronization.import.cron=0 0/1 * * * ?
ldap.synchronization.enableProgressEstimation=true

I followed your instructions too.. But it is not coming. These are the lines I've added in alfresco-global.properties

authentication.chain=ldap1:ldap,alfinst:alfrescoNtlm
synchronization.allowDeletions=true
synchronization.synchronizeChangesOnly=false
synchronization.syncWhenMissingPeopleLogIn=true
synchronization.syncOnStartup=true
synchronization.import.cron=0 0/1 * * * ?
ldap.synchronization.enableProgressEstimation=true

If ur using open directory LDAP then those properties are enough.

Check your ldap-authentication.properties file in tomcat\shared\classes\alfresco\extension\subsystems\Authentication\ldap\ldap1

No, still it is not working

I checked with your 2 approaches also

What makes difference between LDAP-AD and LDAP? I can look into further if this is get cleared. Please tell me

Provide which LDAP installed information and ldap-authentication.properties
