I use Alfresco community version 2017 , I integrate tesseract ocr with alfresco community do following http://www.contcentric.com/configuring-ocr-in-alfresco/ .After completed I upload image to alfresco but the tesseract did not detect character from image to txt file. but i try to run manual can

Why you suggest me to use alfresco-simple-ocr ? Is it better than tesseract ?

I think alfresco-simple-ocr difficult to install on windows server.

@jameskwhich version of Alfresco repository do you use?

For new versions 7+ try this project https://github.com/aborroy/alf-tengine-ocr
