Your stack trace is clearly showing you are out of memory, see "Caused by: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space".

Check <ALFRESCO_HOME/tomcat/bin/setenv.sh for the JVM settings, compare that with the RAM you have on your machine, and adjust accordingly.

Also, consider moving the database to its own server to further increase the resources available to Alfresco.
