I'm new at alfresco and working with alfresco source code on eclipse. I want to run the web-client project but I get a few errors when I run it and not found /alfresco and /share pages. Could you please help me about this. Thanks in advance.Error:HTTP Status 404 - /alfresco/type Status reportmessa

It looks to me like Alfresco is trying to connect to your Postres database using a username of "alfresco" and that's not working. Is postgres up and running? Have you created a database and can you connect to it using "alfresco" as the user and a password?

But, out of curiosity, why are you building the Alfresco source in Eclipse or even at all? Are you going to make a contribution to the core code Alfresco distributes or are you just trying to extend or customize Alfresco? If it is the former, cool. If it is the latter, you should instead use the Alfresco Maven-based SDK and the standard extension mechanism. Usually there is no good reason to compile the source.

Yes, I have craeted a database named "alfresco and the username and the password are "alfresco". I want to be used Keycloak as authentication service for Alfresco and Share? Therefore I want to make the necessary arrangements in the source code. I work with the web-client project. Could I edit it with the Alfresco Maven-based SDK. Do you have any other suggestions?

I am not familiar with Keycloak but you should look into whether the

"external" Alfresco authentication mechanism would be easier to integrate

without touching the core distribution.

Or you might investigate how you could add a new authentication service

implementation by writing your own classes and then injecting them via

Spring.

Depending on specifics, it may be that you'll have to recompile some core

classes, but I would spend some time making sure that is the case,

otherwise you are creating a maintenance burden and potentially doing more

work than you have to.
