APS Analytics apps

Hi, we are using APS 1.10 enterprise edition, Tomcat 8.5 on premise. Currently we are not using Analytics and we want to explore its usefulnes. Really appreicate your input on (1)How useful do you think Analytics is and (2)whether you can use it only on the processes in Activiti?

Using Analytics you can, "add standard reports and configure custom reports for performance and throughput statistics of your processes”. I think it's up to the requirement and use cases to determine how useful this is.

Analytics is only used around processes. The way it works is that the Activiti engine creates all kind of events while working through a process. When Analytics is used, we process those events and send them to Elastic Search where an index gets created. Using (custom) reports, one can then query the data in that index and illustrate “useful” information.
