Assign Future Tasks

Hi,

I have a use case where a user is leaving their company, and they have initiated some process instances. Since they are the process initiator, there will likely be some future tasks assigned to this user. I wanted to assign this type of task to another, new user.

Is there any readily available functionality that allows me to do so from the Alfresco APS UI? Or is it possible to do something like this from a script task?

A good approach would be to assign task on groups instead of users, this way if the user of the group changes, you won;t have to make changes in process definition. for the tasks already "assigned" to non-existing user, you create a small code that re-assigns it to other user/group.
