Hello, I'm facing the same challenge.

I've a local Alfresco Content Service / Share running on my local computer.

When it comes to modeling there is Activity Designer for Eclipse. But it seems to be outdated and not ready for the latest Eclipse versions (due to an outdated version of Eclipse Graphity, i think...)

Regarding the https://github.com/Activiti/activiti-modeling-app I can not find a ready build version that I can run locally (In Tomcat / nodejs or whatever) and I couldn't find a tutorial for that.

So what is the prefered way to visually design BPMN2 Processes and deploy them to the Activity engine that is embedded in my local ACS?
