      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks for your reply PaulT.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We are using below API to start new workflow instance :&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;ActivitiUtil.getRuntimeService().startProcessInstanceById(processDefId, variables);&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The error thrown from Activiti framework internally. Any idea such issue resolved in advance releases ? We are using &lt;STRONG&gt;Activiti 5.15&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;PM&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is there any pattern to the way the problem occurs that might help to understand it, e.g. ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- Is it always the same Process Definition Id that is affected&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- Is it always the same Process Engine that is involved&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- Is there any association with other events, e.g. after a restart, after a period of inactivity etc.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- After the error has occured does the system carry on working normally, including been able to start other instances of the affected Process Definition Id in the affected Process Engine&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
