The deadline for this SOA project is supposed to be by the end of next year, so we might go with an emerging technology like Activiti and to take advantage of the next releases.

Anyway, in other to make a fine decission about it we should know which are your plans for:

* Web Service Task. We need to invoke web services in the context of business processes.
* LDAP integration.
* BRMS.
* BAM.
* Target date for a ready production release.

On the other hand, are there any plans to propose Activiti for inclusion in the Apache Software Foundation?.

Thanks in advance and keep up the good work.

Regards,

Juanjo.

* Web Service Task. We need to invoke web services in the context of business processes.

Thats currently in progress (contribution by Esteban Robles of Mule)

* LDAP integration.

Not planned, afaik. But sure would be interesting to have before the 5.0 release.

* BRMS.

We aim for integration with a rule system by the 5.0 release

* BAM.

Probably we'll have only something simple here (basic reports or something alike). But it doesnt have a high priority.

* Target date for a ready production release.

5.0 release in November. 5.0 will be the version which we'll integrate Alfresco with.

On the other hand, are there any plans to propose Activiti for inclusion in the Apache Software Foundation?.

It's still in the back of our mind, that idea. But currently we need all our attention on delivering the engine on time 😉
